Sharyn Peoples picked up her car from a valet service, earlier this month, and found an insult written on her valet parking ticket in Boca Raton, Florida (video below).
Peoples told NBC Miami: “I was mortified. In handwriting it said ‘play, red dress, and fat’ on it.”
Peoples was wearing a red dress on the night that she parked her car with the valet service and was appearing nearby in a play, reports NBC Miami.
Peoples said: “It’s only words and it’s from some kid, and that’s one of the things the guy said to me on the phone. He said, ‘You know, we employ 18- and 20-year-old kids.’ I said, ‘Sir, they’re legally adults.’ People should not accept employees slandering their patrons in any way, shape, or form.”
Luis Macedo, general manager of LAZ Parking, said in a statement on Friday: “We deeply regret this incident and the company has apologized to the customer and the employee has been disciplined. LAZ Parking continues to be committed to providing the best customer experience possible.”
LAZ parking has offered Peoples free parking in 2013 and a gift card at a local restaurant.
