San Diego fire-rescue crews came to the aid of an unidentified driver who crashed into a fire hydrant on Tuesday night.
The driver was literally trapped inside his car as thousands of gallons of water shot up from the accidental geyser, notes NBC San Diego.
Crews were able to turn the water off soon after arriving, but it was over an hour before the hapless driver was rescued from his car (video below).
San Diego police do not think the man was driving under the influence, but they are still investigating the incident.
