An employee at New York's La Guardia Airport drove a stair car to a pizza restaurant during his lunch break last Saturday.
The vehicle reportedly belonged to Southwest Airlines and had a license plate that read "A 3537" designating it for airport use only.
However, there is mixed opinion on the unusual pizza run.
“This is not acceptable behavior,” Steve Coleman, a Port Authority spokesman, told the New York Post. “We will immediately begin to identify the offending vehicle and driver and will take appropriate action.”
However, Southwest Airlines spokesman Chris Mainz defended the employee: “Nothing unusual or out of protocol on this one.”
According a local DMV representative, "it is not legal to drive on a public street."
