The world's worst deadbeat dad is now a Tennessee man who is the father of 22 children from 14 different women.
Orlando Shaw, 33, has not paid his child support because he said there is no way he could ever come up with the money for all of them. The state of Tennessee spends an estimated $7,000 a month to help support the kids.
He is now in court, and is being sued for the child support.
Outside of the court, he commented on the case.
"I was young and ambitious and I love women. You can't knock no man for loving women," Shaw said as he smiled.
Though he told reporters that he is father to 18 children, it is believed the actual total is 22. It was the mothers of his children that took Shaw to court demanding he pay them tens of thousands of dollars.
Magistrate Scott Rosenburg estimated that Shaw would have to work three or four full-time jobs to pay the child support.
Shaw has a criminal record, and said it makes it difficult to find a well-paying job. Despite his difficulties obtaining a job, he said he has a financial plan in place.
"I play the hell out of the Tennessee lottery," he said. "I don't block my blessings."
He then said that someone might possibly recognize he is turning his life around and give him a chance at a job.
"I love my kids and I can care less about what anyone thinks about it," he said. "I'll be sure we'll be here for years and years to come."
He plans on having a vasectomy to prevent more children being born.
While he can't pay his child support, he said he is a good father.
A reporter then prompted him to name all of his kids, ranging in age from infants to as old as 18. Shaw attempted to name some of them, most of them having names starting with "O."
"Hey, I got 'em, I named them, I named these kids, me!" he said, as he beat himself on the chest with pride.
