A recently-uploaded Facebook video seemingly shows three teenagers beating and robbing an ice cream man.
The video was brought to the attention of WSOCTV by concerned citizen Manuel Fuentes.
"It seems like he's not trying to fight back initially, like he just wants to be left alone, and that's the thing -- you can't even be left alone," said Fuentes.
In the video, a girl can be seen opening the ice cream cart. When the ice cream man closes it, the girl tries to hit the man repeatedly while he attempts to defend himself.
Shortly after, a second girl attacks the ice cream man, and then a male assailant, reports the Daily Mail.
The teens can be heard laughing during different parts of the assault.
"It’s just not right because the man didn't do anything," Fuentes said.
The Facebook circulated video had been shared 170 times and received 202 comments as of Saturday morning.
One commenter wrote: “This is sad. Taking advantage of a poor man who makes a living by selling ice cream that can cost no more than $2 a piece... This isn't about race, it's about education. I hope these young ladies change their ways now, because if they continue to live this way their lives will be nothing but disaster.”
Police were notified of the incident and within eight hours one of the suspected teens, Daishaun Tyrone Burney, was arrested. Burney has been charged with common law robbery.
Police are continuing to search for two other suspects.
