Teacher Carly McKinney Suspended After Nearly Naked Tweets and Calling Students "Jail Bait"

| by

A teacher in Colorado has been suspended from her position as a math teacher after she admitted to running a Twitter account where she posted half-naked photos of herself, joked about using marijuana, and called her students "jail bait."

Carly McKinny, 23, taught at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. She said she created the Twitter account CarlyCrunkBear with help from her friend.

Someone told 9News about the Twitter account on Monday. The teacher then told the TV station that the account was indeed hers.

One post said: "Naked. Wet. Stoned." Another said: "Watching a drug bust go down in the parking lot. It's funny cuz I have weed in my car in the staff parking lot."

Others talked about how she was grading papers while high and joked about using Twitter at school instead of "being productive."

In one post she called a student of hers "jailbait."

"Just got called Ms. McCutie. Points for being clever, however you are still jailbait."

Along with the questionable tweets were scandalous photos of McKinney. One of the most revealing photos, featuring McKinney doing a handstand wearing only underwear, was retweeted by DJ Diplo to promote his single.

McKinney claims the account was made as a parody.

She said she was not aware of some of the posts, as she said her friend made them. She said she was never in possession of drugs while at school.

Tustin Amole, director of communications for Cherry Creek School District, said that officials are currently investigating McKinney's conduct and attempting to discover if she had possession of drugs at school.

Amole said, to the best of her knowledge, the teacher was not complained about while she worked at the school.
