An Oklahoma fisherman made an amazingly rare catch while fishing at Lake Eufaula.
Austin Claunch shared photos of his strange catch on the Oklahoma Fishing Fools Facebook page and asked others if they’d ever seen something like it.
Fellow fishing enthusiasts were stunned and amazed by the oddly-colored fish, with one commenter even calling it a “cowfish.”
KFOR subsequently sent the photos to the Oklahoma Wildlife Department, who concluded that the fish was a leucistic fish — meaning that the fish had a condition that caused partial pigment loss.
The rare condition reportedly only affects a fish’s appearance and has no bearing on its health.
