Timothy Griffis reportedly died after being tasered by a deputy on Sunday night in Lake City, Fla.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, a 91-year-old woman called 911 after seeing a man in her yard.

Griffis allegedly threw a pipe at the elderly woman when she questioned him.

When Deputy Bradley Carpenter arrived, Griffis was in a shed on the woman's property. The deputy ordered Griffis out of the shed, but Griffis allegedly threatened to kill the deputy, noted Reuters.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office report claimed that Griffis made "an aggressive movement" so Deputy Carpenter used his Taser on him. Griffis was then handcuffed, but had trouble breathing, so the deputy called paramedics.

Deputy Carpenter and paramedics performed CPR, but Griffis died, noted The Florida Times-Union.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident. Deputy Carpenter was put on paid administrative leave, which is normal protocol.
