A North Carolina woman, really, really, likes her breakfast pastries.
Charlotte mother Latasha Renee Love, 37, called police earlier this week to report that her Pop-Tarts had been stolen. When police arrived, Love claimed that her juvenile son was the thief and he was arrested.
Neighbor Fred Patrick knows the young boy. He couldn’t help himself from chuckling when he heard that an arrest had been made over Pop-Tarts. "He seems real nice to me. I mean, he is real respectful," Patrick said.
Another neighbor, Tiffany Covington, said food in her home is there for everyone, WCNC reported.
"It would be nice if they asked, but they don't. They are kids," she said.
Police valued the missing Pop-Tarts at $5. The boy was placed under juvenile arrest and was charged with misdemeanor larceny.
