IDF Issues Warning Before Bombing Gaza Hospital

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been carrying out an extended combat mission against Hamas, the Sunni Islamic organization that currently governs the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

Israel’s military efforts have received criticism internationally, as the recent outbreak has resulted in the death of more than 700 Palestinians, many of whom have been civilians.

Despite reports to the contrary, Israel has denied claims that they are engaging in combat without concern for distinction between military and civilian individuals in the region. A new video has emerged online suggesting that the country at least gave fair warning before bombing the al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza.

The video includes a recorded call in which an unidentified individual confirms that the hospital has been abandoned and that there are no sick individuals remaining in the building. There are, however, Hamas soldiers who have been using the building as a command center and have been firing from windows.

The video then shows the IDF’s destruction of the hospital.

“Firing on our soldiers has grown in recent hours and endangered forces. As a result, the IDF has decided to strike terrorists operating in the hospital complex,” said the Israeli army, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The Washington Post is also reporting that the IDF fired upon an elementary school, resulting in the death of 16 people and several more with injuries.
