Grandpa Offered Elderly Seating, Responds Accordingly (Photos)

When a grandpa was offered a seat reserved for elderly people on the subway, the other passengers got a huge surprise.

Britton Barker from Amarillo, Texas, is in Rio for the Olympics with his grandfather. Barker has been posting about the trip on his Twitter account.

While on the subway in Rio, Barker tweeted, "Someone offered my grandpa a preferred seat for elderly people on the subway and he did this." The tweet was accompanied by photos of his grandpa's incredible response.

The tweet quickly went viral, garnering over 29,000 retweets and over 31,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

The grandpa's hilarious and impressive response proves that looks can truly be deceiving. 

Barker later followed up his viral tweet, writing: "Oops accidentally made Papa Twitter famous."
