James Yeager, the CEO of Tactical Response (a weapons and training company), has had his gun permit suspended by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security after he threatened to “start killing people” in a video he uploaded to YouTube.
Yeager, a law-abiding gun owner, was enraged by the suggestion of Vice President Joe Biden, earlier this week, that President Obama might use executive orders to tighten gun laws, reports RawStory.com.
Yeager said in the video: "I’m not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I’m going to start killing people.”
After the video (below) caused outrage, Yeager took it down, but fortunately a copy was made by CrooksandLiars.com.
Now, Yeager has published a second video (below) on Thursday saying: “I was mad when I said it” and “probably allowed my mouth to overrun my logic."
Yeager now claims that he does not “condone anybody doing anything rash” or “committing any kind of felonies, up to and including aggravated assaults and murders, unless its necessary. Right now, it’s not necessary.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center reports that the Department of Homeland Security is investigating if Yeager displayed “criminal intent” in the first video.
