The armed pro-gun group Ohio Open Carry demonstrated in front of a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio, on Saturday.
The 40+ person protest was held in response to a grand jury’s choice not to indict the police officer who fatally shot John Crawford III inside the Walmart, noted WDTN (video below).
Crawford was carrying a BB gun when he was shot on Aug. 5.
Some of the protesters wore "anonymous" masks and carried signs that stated: “Serve and Protect. Not Serve to Kill” and “I am John Crawford."
Some of the protesters walked inside the Walmart after the outdoor demonstration.
"The whole point of this is to be a peaceful protest and educate people that Ohio is an open-carry state, and a man was killed while open-carrying a gun inside the Walmart," an anonymous protester told WHIO.
However, Crawford wasn't open-carrying a real gun, but rather a BB gun in the store. A Walmart shopper called police after seeing Crawford, who is black, carry the toy gun.
