The American Future Fund, a conservative group based in Iowa, recently produced TV ads (video below) to support Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) from "out-of-state" gun control ads.
Sen. Ayotte has seen her poll numbers fall since she voted against a bill that would expand background checks for firearm purchases at gun shows and online.
A January poll by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center showed that 91 percent of New Hampshire adults said they supported background checks at gun shows, reported the Concord Monitor.
According to ThinkProgress.org, American Future Fund's ads claim to show average New Hampshire moms, but in reality the women are also Republican activists.
Jayne Millerick appears in the ad “New Hampshire mom,” but the commercial doesn't mention that she is a Republican strategist who served in various GOP organizations, including the New Hampshire Women for Mitt coalition in 2012.
Another mom in the ad, Judy Brown, worked with Millerick in the Romney campaign and Sen. Ayotte’s campaign in 2010.
Barbara Dutile campaigned for Romney and served as an alternate delegate.
However, none of this information is revealed in the ad for reasons unknown.
