A group of kids reportedly fired a rifle over the heads of passing pedestrians last Saturday afternoon In Rock Hill, S.C.
Police were called by an unidentified man who claimed he saw the kids with an assault rifle. When questioned by police, the children originally denied knowing anything about a gun.
Eventually, an 8-year-old boy admitted to police that the kids fired a gun. He took police to a home where a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle was hidden underneath a bed, noted HeraldOnline.com.
The boy's mother said the kids were being watched by a 13-year-old babysitter, who was actually present during the shooting. The mom also told the cops that the rifle was owned by a convicted felon who was no longer allowed to have it.
