Gun violence in Chicago left four people dead and at least 33 people wounded over the weekend.
One of the victims of Chicago shootings was a 4-year-old girl, who was shot in the hip during a drive-by shooting Sunday night in a local park, according to the Huffington Post.
The 4-year-old girl, Shyla Rivera, was reportedly in a car with her older brother and one of his friends, ages 17 and 20, when a person in another car pulled up and shot them.
The Rivera family members were not part of gangs, and the family believes the shooting was a mistake, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Four men were shot dead between Friday and Saturday night in locations across the city. Two of the men were 18 years old, one was 21 years old and one was 54 years old.
CBS Chicago reported that shootings, murders and crime have decreased in Chicago since last year by 22, 26 and 15 percent, respectively.
