Probable Republican 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson claimed on CNN that being homosexual is a choice.
Carson's evidence for people choosing to be homosexual was inmates who leave prison "gay," noted RawStory.com (video below).
“You think being gay is a choice?” asked CNN host Chris Cuomo on March 4.
“Absolutely,” replied Carson. “Because a lot of people who go into prison, go into prison straight, and when they come out they’re gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”
“Most gay people never go to prison,” countered Cuomo. “And you know, there’s a whole theory of dominance.”
“Wait a minute, I said a lot of people who go in come out (gay),” added Carson, who didn't cite medical journals or findings.
Earlier this year, Carson told the "Steve Deace Show," an Internet podcast, that federal judges did not have the authority under the U.S. Constitution to rule on state issues such as gay marriage, and added that those judges should be removed by Congress, noted RightWingWatch.org.
The Supremacy Clause in the U.S. Constitution does give federal judges the power to rule over state issues.
