A Wisconsin man has taken out a restraining order against a 5-year-old boy who made death threats to his 6-year-old daughter.
According to reports, Brian Metzger of Kenosha, Wisconsin took out the restraining order against the young boy after months of severe bullying, both physical and emotional, escalated into death threats towards his 6-year-old daughter.
“She came home and said a student threatened her by saying, ‘I want to slit your throat and watch you bleed,’” said Metzger to WISN.
Metzger says he made numerous attempts to have the boy removed from the classroom, but school officials refused, so he filed the restraining order as a last ditch effort to protect his daughter. Finally, after Metzger came to the school with the restraining order, administration finally removed the 5-year-old boy from the class.
"Now that I've done all this, they finally took him out of the classroom my daughter is in, but it's not enough," said Metzger to CBS 58 News. “I want him removed from the school district, period.”
School officials say that despite Metzger’s claims that no action was taken against the bully, they did in fact act in their own way.
“There's always two sides to every story,” said Prairie Land Elementary School spokeswoman Tanya Ruder. “There's not a set threshold of what causes or what would determine when a child is moved out of a classroom.”
Reports say that there is a hearing regarding the restraining order that will take place later this month. The 5-year-old boy’s parents have refused to comment on the matter.
