When they were 11 years old, Bakersfield, California twins Lamb and Lynx Gaede formed a band in 2003 called Prussian Blue, named after a by-product of a poison in the Holocaust.
Now, however, at the age of 20, the twins have transformed themselves from anti-semetic racists to peace-loving hippies all because of marijuana use, reports the Daily Mirror.
The girls once wore smiley-face Hitler T-shirts (picture below), both now have medical marijuana cards and call themselves "healers."
Lynx was diagnosed with cancer during high school, when doctors removed a tumor from her shoulder. She also suffers from a rare condition called cyclic vomiting syndrome.
About two years ago, she began smoking marijuana to ease withdrawal symptoms to painkillers and nausea: "I have to say, marijuana saved my life. I would probably be dead if I didn’t have it."
"I’m stoked that we have so many different cultures I think it’s amazing and it makes me proud of humanity every day that we have so many different places and people."
Lamb, who suffers from chronic back pain, also got a medical marijuana card: "We just want to come from a place of love and light. I think we’re meant to do something more, we’re healers. We just want to exert the most love and positivity we can."
The girls say they were were raised in the redneck community of Bakesfield, where they were indoctrinated with racist ideas by older family members.
