A Texas woman who went out to a nightclub with friends woke up the next morning in a cardboard box near a landfill with no recollection of how she ended up there, NBC 5 reports.
Employees and community service workers in Irving called the police at around 9 a.m. on Feb. 14 when they discovered the woman, who is in her 30s and only spoke Spanish.
She told investigators that she went out to a club in Dallas the night before and had no memory of how she ended up inside a large cardboard box in a landfill.
According to police reports, the victim’s friend went to get her car. She left the victim with a man they had just met and by the time she came back, they were both gone.
A missing persons report was filed just two hours before the victim was found in a box at the dump.
Police took the victim — who was wearing only a shirt when she was found — to a local hospital to test her and determine if she had been raped.
More details will be released as authorities continue their investigation.
