Florida Woman Accused Of Beating Up Boyfriend Over Porn Habit

| by Lauren Briggs

Police arrested a Florida woman Monday for allegedly beating up her boyfriend when she discovered that he “was still watching porn,” even though he had promised her that he would kick the habit.

Delia Priem was arrested at 3:19 a.m. yesterday in Largo, Florida, where she lives with her boyfriend Anthony Howard, according to the Smoking Gun.

The 29-year-old may have been secretly taking videos of her boyfriend so that she could spy on him and catch him watching porn, according to the arrest affidavit, which was obtained by the Smoking Gun. She allegedly watched a video that she took of Howard and, around 2:40 a.m., became very angry when she discovered that he was “still watching porn after he said he would stop,” noted a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy in the police report.

She then woke up her boyfriend by slapping him in the face.

Priem pushed him in his bed and started throwing various items around the room, but none of them struck the defiant porn watcher, who later called police to report that his girlfriend had beat him up.

Police arrested Priem on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. The sheriff’s office released her on her own recognizance, after she spent about 12 hours in jail, according to the Smoking Gun.

The sheriff's office noted that they suspected alcohol to be a contributing factor in her behavior.

Priem has a prior history of arrest and possible alcohol abuse, according to court records. In April, police took her into custody for drunk driving, although the court case is still pending.

Last week, authorities arrested a woman in Augusta, Georgia, and charged her with battery after she beat up her boyfriend for refusing to have sex with her. She scratched his face, head, and neck, bit his arm, and also punched her mother in the face before running away, according to Fox Atlanta.
