Wilfred Levine, 63, was loitering inside a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in New Britain, Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon when employees told him to leave and escorted him out.
According to NBC Connecticut, Levine returned a short time later with an axe, jumped the counter and said he was looking for the two employees.
Levine allegedly demolished the inside of the store with the axe and then walked outside to smash the restaurant's glass windows.
According to police, Levine raised his axe at the first police officer to arrive at the scene. The police officer drew his weapon and ordered Levine to drop the axe. When he refused, police officers used a stun gun to take him down.
Levine faces charges of criminal attempt to commit assault, criminal attempt to commit assault on police, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, possession of a dangerous weapon, breach of peace, reckless endangerment and interfering with police.
