A California mother stabbed her husband in the neck after arguing with him over the naked pictures she discovered on his phone of an unidentified woman, police said.
Jasmine Teltow, 21, of Dos Palos, California, was arguing with her unnamed husband, 34, over the nude photographs. Police claim that the argument escalated, ultimately resulting in Teltow stabbing him in the neck at least once with a kitchen knife.
The husband was taken to a regional hospital and eventually released. Fortunately, police say his injuries were not life-threatening.
The couple has two children, ages 1 and 4, who were both ordered to be placed in the custody of Child Protective Services. According to The Huffington Post, the 4-year-old boy’s grandmother refused to turn him over. Cops are now searching for Noah Apodaca who they believe to be with his grandmother, Mary Saavedra.
“Saavedra was told to return the boy to law enforcement but has refused. Saavedra is believed to be driving a brown 2002 Ford Explorer with license plate number 6CCV579. Anyone with information about the child's whereabouts is asked to contact Dos Palos police at (209) 392-2176.”
As for Teltow, she remained in custody Sunday afternoon on $500,000 bail. According to the Sacramento Bee, Teltow was booked into the John Latorraca Correctional Facility on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police Chief Barry Mann said investigators plan to seek additional charges against Teltow, including domestic violence.
