A recently released surveillance video (below) shows police dragging 53-year-old James Jay Heidebrecht, face-down, out of the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City.
The incident occurred after police arrested Heidebrecht at the airport on February 20. He had claimed he was a CIA agent and wanted to talk with with presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, who was visiting the city that day.
He allegedly tried to get past a security checkpoint and became combative when detained. Heidebrecht was shot with an electric stun gun several times and then dragged out of the airport by his legs.
The Oklahoma City Police Department has launched an internal investigation to determine if the officers broke any of the department’s policies, reports NewsOK.com.
