A Pennsylvania woman charged along with her husband of killing a man they met through Craigslist admitted to killing more than 20 other people across the country as part of her involvement in a satanic cult.
Miranda Barbour, 19, admitted in a jailhouse interview that she has killed at least 22 other people from Alaska, California, North Carolina and Texas. She said she joined a Satanic cult when she was just 13 years old.
"I feel it is time to get all of this out. I don't care if people believe me. I just want to get it out," Barbour told the Daily Item.
“I can pinpoint on a map where you can find them,” she said.
She and her husband, Elytte Babour, 22, were charged with the fatal knifing of 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara on Nov. 11.
Miranda claims LaFerrara was her husband’s first victim. The Port Trevorton resident was killed during the couple’s three-week wedding anniversary.
“I remember everything,” she said. “It is like watching a movie.”
LaFerrara allegedly met the couple through Craigslist when he replied to an ad offering companionship.
Miranda says she doesn’t want to be let out of jail and that she would kill again if she were free.
“I know I will never see my husband again and I have accepted that. I know I wanted to talk about all this because I know I had a 20-year window where I would possibly get out of jail and I don’t want that to happen. If I were to be released, I would do this again," she said.
Her husband is being held at Columbia County Jail.
“He is proud of what he did,” she said. “I will always love him.”
She said she doesn’t regret any of her alleged crimes, but she felt the need to come clearn.
“By no means is this a way to glorify it or get attention," she said. "I’m telling you because it is time for me to be honest and I feel I need to be honest.”
