Michelle Cox, 43, was recently arrested for allegedly buying a 13-year-old boy some beer and having sex with him.
Cox, a school nutritionist, was charged on June 24 with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and purchasing alcohol for a minor, and one count of aggravated statutory rape (video below).
The victim told police that Cox drove him to a grocery store in Knoxville, Tennessee, bought the beer and then took him to her home in New Tazewell, Tennessee, where they had sex.
The unidentified teen also told authorities that he previously had sex with Cox at her home and in the back of her van.
"We believe it's possible that it had been going on for a few months now," said Detective Tammy Reagan told WBIR-TV.
Cox worked as a Nutrition Field Manager for the Claiborne County School system in Tennessee, but resigned from her job on June 10 after the police investigation began.
Cox was released on $100,000 bond. Her preliminary court date is July 18.
"I tried to make sure he's safe, but it shows you can't trust anyone," the boy mother's told WBIR-TV. "This has ruined our lives."
