Deerfield Elementary School Principal Kim Warren was arrested in the school parking lot in Novi, Michigan, on April 8 while reportedly drunk.
According to LivingstonDaily.com, police officers found Warren in the school parking lot with an open bottle of vodka in her car. Two initial breathalyzer tests on Warren reportedly found a blood alcohol content of .21 and .20.
However, Warren was charged with a blood alcohol content of .17 under the city’s “Super Drunk” law.
WXYZ-TV broadcast a video (below) on Monday of Warren in the back of the police car, slipping out of her handcuffs.
After she slipped out of handcuffs, Warren tries to hand them to the police officer, who states: “Ah, you can hang on to them. I’ll get them back from you when I open the door. It’s alright. Just don’t throw them out the window or anything.”
Warren was arraigned on Monday on a charge of possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
She was released on a $5,000 bond. Warren must not drink alcohol and submit to weekly testing. She is on administrative leave from the school.
