Montana woman Jordan Linn Graham was charged with killing her husband Monday, after the pair argued on a cliff at Glacier National Park and then she shoved him off of it.
During the excursion, Graham had texted a friend with second thoughts concerning her new marriage.
“Oh well, I’m about to talk to him,” she texted, just before the incident.
According to the affidavit, the newly wed couple was walking the Loop Trail when Graham began to walk away during an argument. She stated that her late husband Cody Lee Johnson had grabbed her by the arm, and when she broke free of his grip, she pushed him in anger.
As a result, Johnson fell face first off the cliff.
Johnson was reported missing the next day when he did not show up for work, though Graham neglected to report anything to the police.
Instead, Graham told police that she had last seen him leaving the house with friends, but several days later found his dead body in the park. She explained knowing where his body was because the park was a place he wanted to see before he died.
Eventually, Graham admitted to lying and is now being charged with second-degree murder.
If convicted, Graham could face life in prison.
