The chairman of the House Committee on Intelligence says more arrests in the Boston marathon bombing are “expected.”
Republican Mike Rogers of Michigan said he thinks other people were involved in the bombing and that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were not acting alone.
“There’s going to be more arrests, I do believe,” he said. “I hear a lot of definitive statements out there that it was just these two men and it’s over, but I will tell you I hear these briefings every day, and I don’t think this is over. There are clearly more persons of interest, and they’re not 100 percent sure if there aren’t other explosives.”
Rogers said there are also still questions to be answered about Tamerlan’s recent time in Russia.
“I believe after seeing everything that I’ve seen, we just don’t know enough about that six months or so in Russia – what happened there,” he said. “And we also know there are persons of interest we need to talk to in this investigation.”
