Dimitri Diatchenko, an actor who is often cast as a bad guy and has had minor parts on hit television shows like “Bones,” “Sons of Anarchy” and “CSI: Miami,” is accused of acting like a real-life villain. According to police in Los Angeles, Diatchenko is accused of killing, skinning and eating is former girlfriend’s pet rabbit last Sunday.
New York Daily News reports that Diatchenko allegedly documented the whole process and sent the photos to his ex-girlfriend. According to the district attorney, when she returned home, Diatchenko told her he would do the same to her. The pair split months ago, but they still lived together. Recently, she told him to move out of their home.
On Tuesday, Diatchenko was charged with felony counts of animal cruelty and making criminal threats. He is currently out on bail, but faces up to four years and eight months in prison if convicted.
On Diatchenko’s Facebook fan page, some people took the opportunity to express their disgust over the accusations. “A true creep you are for killing animals. You are a loser,” wrote Facebook user Karen Fortheplanet.
According to his IMDB page, Diatchenko is usually cast as a Russian or Eastern European antagonist. He has also made appearances in movies like "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and “Chernobyl Diaries.”
