Mary-Ellen Mooney, 18, admitted in an English courtroom that she sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy who was a friend of the child she was babysitting at the time.
The incident, which took place in January, involved Mooney making sexual suggestions to the victim and “cuddling” with him. She then reportedly "guided" the boy’s hand down her underwear.
“It was believed that all this all happened in a period of minute and also involved the pair kissing on the lips,” prosecutor Richard Milne said.
“One to two days later, there was a series of Facebook messages that ... were clearly of a sexual nature,” he added, according to the Milton Keynes Citizen.
After the victim’s family learned of the sexual assault, they allegedly confronted and assaulted Mooney.
“Members of the family clearly took matters into their own hands as feelings undoubtably run high in cases such as this,” Judge Karen Holt said. “She is 18 and of good character; he was 13. There was an abuse of trust as he had gone over to the house to see his friend.”
Mooney will be sentenced on Nov. 10 and faces jail time, according to Metro.
