Just hours after Beyonce released her new album "Lemonade," which many believe to be about her husband Jay Z cheating, a long-rumored mistress of Jay Z's posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
Beyonce's new album is features many songs about adultery, and it often references to a cheating partner.
The only clue in the album which hints at the other woman's identity is the line, "He better call Becky with the good hair."
Hours after the album was released in an HBO special and on Jay Z's streaming service, Tidal, fashion designer Rachel Roy shared a picture on Instagram with a caption that has led many to believe she may be "Becky."
"Good hair, don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always," Roy wrote on Instagram.
The post was quickly "decrypted" by Beyonce fans, who have accused Roy of being "Becky."
Roy is the ex-wife of Jay Z's former business partner, Damon Dash. Jay Z and Dash reportedly had a falling out, and Roy has been linked to Jay Z ever since.
In May 2014, security footage showed Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, attacking Jay Z in an elevator while Beyonce watched without intervening. The incident sparked speculation about what caused the fight and fueled rumors of Jay Z cheating with Roy.
In fact, sources reported that the rapper's close friendship with Roy was what sparked the 2014 fight, according to Daily Mail.
After Beyonce's fans took to Roy's Instagram to leave thousands of angry comments on her photo, Roy set her account to private, according to Fox News.
Roy followed up the controversy with a tweet.
"I respect love, marriages, families, and strength," she wrote, Fox News reports. "What shouldn't be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind."
