After being bitten by his grandmother’s six-year-old Chihuahua-pincher, Kevin Dean Parrish placed the nine-pound dog into an oven that had been pre-heated to 350 degrees. The undersized pooch, Kudo, suffered multiple injuries and burns according to Marion Country Deputy Don Thomson.
“Deputies learned that the dog suffered from cuts and bruises to his head, his body hair was singed and three of his legs badly burned from contact with the oven rack. The dog had difficulty standing because of its injuries,” Thomson said.
The doctor who treated little Kudo expects him to make a full recovery.
Prior to being bitten, Parrish had turned the oven on in order to heat up his lunch, but after being nipped he elected to a different use.
“Parrish said he lost control, grabbed the dog and started punching it in the head with his fist. He also admitted trying to strangle the dog,” Deputy Thomson said.
After this outburst, Parrish, who reportedly told authorities that he has anger issues, placed the dog in the oven. Luckily his brother came home in time to prevent the animal from suffering fatal injuries.
Parrish has no previous criminal record and his bail is set at $10,000
