Brenda Rigdon, a grandmother from Florida, participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge but was then attacked by a dog.
In a video posted by Rigdon’s son, a pit bull leaps out of the frame and bites the woman’s face in front of her grandchildren. She needed several stitches.
The dog, named Kilo, was tested for rabies and euthanized after the attack, the Daily Mail reported.
In the video’s description, Rigdon explained that Kilo was his sister’s dog.
“This should serve as a warning to all pet owners,” Rigdon wrote. “Unless you are going to take the time to make an animal a pet then it will remain an animal.”
Kilo was untrained and kept for breeding purposes only. “He was a wild dog and she should be ashamed for keeping him out of selfishness and not love,” Rigdon’s son wrote.
Kilo had bitten his unnamed owner several times, but when he attacked Rigdon, he didn’t give any warning. “He did not growl snarl or show any signs of aggression,” Rigdon’s son wrote in a comment. “He just turned for no apparent reason.”
