Alexander Wang's NSFW Ads For New Line Of Denim Spark Controversy (Photos)

| by Dominic Kelly

Fashion designer Alexander Wang is stirring up controversy with a series of advertisements for his new line of jeans that many are calling “provocative” and “offensive.”

In the ads for Wang’s new line of jeans, German model Anna Ewers is displayed fully nude in a variety of poses that some believe are offensive. In one, Ewers sits on a couch fully nude with just a pair of Wang’s jeans rolled down to her ankles. In another, the model is touching herself while the jeans are shown around her thighs.

“Once you see it, you can’t stop thinking about it,” Wang told Women’s Wear Daily. “I wanted an image that would provoke. Of course, there are going to be people who disagree with it.”

It appears that Wang did exactly what he set out to do and then some, as people are blasting his advertising campaign for being “offensive.”

“Are you having trouble selling your clothes seeing as you don't even show your clothes in these denim ads?" posted a user on Facebook, according to the NY Daily News. "Thought the ad was for women."

“Oh look, we have no good ideas left, so here's a naked woman to sell jeans,” another user wrote.

Wang’s new line of denim jeans reportedly range in price from $225 to $295.

Do you find the advertisements offensive?
