A 14-year-old girl showed a male predator that he picked the wrong girl to attack when she turned the tables on him.
According to a report from Metro UK, the 14-year-old girl was walking home by herself through Tilgate Park in Crawley when a man came up behind her and grabbed her by her arms. Unfortunately for the attacker, the teen was trained in martial arts, and she quickly defended herself.
The 14-year-old girl was able to break free from the man’s grip, quickly spin around and fight him off. The teenager proceeded to kick and punch the man repeatedly, leaving him bruised and beaten, before police arrested him shortly thereafter.
Now, police are asking anybody who witnessed the incident to come forward, as they need more details about what happened.
“Although we have made an arrest, we need to speak to anyone who was in Tilgate Park on Saturday morning and saw what happened,” said Sussex Police Detective Inspector Andy Bennett. “We need to find people who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in or around the park on Saturday or on other occasions.”
