A teenage Starbucks customer was left feeling creeped out when a barista reportedly left a flirty message on her coffee cup.
Each Starbucks coffee cup has a warning that says, “Careful, the beverage you’re about to enjoy is extremely hot.” The barista who served the teenage customer her drink must have thought he was clever when he crossed out a few words of that warning to make it say, “Careful, you’re extremely hot.”
Also written on the cup was “Lora,” a smiley face, and an arrow pointing to the barista’s flirty message.
Facebook user Alex Blaine posted the photo on the S**t London Facebook page, according to Mirror.co.uk.
“Creepy barista writing inappropriate messages on my daughter’s coffee," Blaine wrote alongside the photo. "Looks like son-in-law material.”
Others on Facebook responded the post, unimpressed by the barista’s attempt at flirtation.
“I’m sure he’s fallen foul of some harassment laws there somewhere,” one user wrote.
The barista seems to have copied some other Starbucks baristas who have done the same thing on cups in the past as a way to flirt.
Starbucks has not yet responded to the incident.
