A fight between two female McDonald's employees broke out on May 18 in Chester County, South Carolina, as seen on a cellphone video of the altercation (video below).
Two employees, 25 and 30-years-old, were allegedly arguing over pies at the fast food restaurant, according to WTSP. The older woman told the younger woman to leave the restaurant insiting she would work her shift, but the 25-year-old refused to go.
The 30-year-old called the cops, and the 25-year-old warned her that she would "beat her a--" if she went to jail, according to the police report.
The younger woman allegedly hit the older woman in the face, knocking off her glasses.
When the women started battling, customer Noah Smith III began filming.
Smith posted the video on Facebook with the caption: "Only at McDonald's in Chester, SC...I'm glad I had the forethought to get my camera ready."
An employee is seen in the video attempting to break up the fight, which moved into the kitchen area. Employees eventually broke up the brawl.
It's not clear if either woman was charged with a crime.
Chris Sparks, McDonald’s director of operations, said in a statement on May 19: "We take the care and safety of our employees very seriously and have zero tolerance for violence. At this time, we are cooperating fully with the police during their investigation into this matter," notes WBTV.
Sentiments regarding the altercation varied, according to comments made on the Facebook post featuring the video:
Really stupid a--es that does that just because of a pie lol hash tag omg.
That is awesome.
See they really should make $15 an hour proof right there. Where are the Bernie Sanders people when you need them.
That is so stupid to carry on like that around people's food. Who wants to eat there now?
These are the ones protesting that they want better pay.
Just wait those kiosks are coming and people who act like this will be out of a job.
Really?? God I'm glad I left that hellhole of a town... Noah Smith III tell me again why you came back from the beach for this town?? Thats why my child WILL NOT go to Chester County schools.
