Photos of a North Carolina State Trooper helping a little boy fix his bicycle have gone viral on social media.
The pictures were taken by Amanda Jones Hoxit at Jarrett’s gas station in Rosman on March 26, WNCN reported.
The trooper, who was later identified as A.J. Norman of Troop G District 3, is seen kneeling down by the gas station’s air pump. He appears to be helping the boy figure out how to fix his bicycle tire.
The photos have been shared more than 3,000 times since they were posted on Facebook. Hoxit captioned the photos by simply writing: “Nothing but respect.”
The North Carolina Highway Patrol issued a press release regarding the photos.
“Trooper Norman, while on routine patrol, observed the unidentified child attempting to put air into the back tire of his bicycle,” the press release stated. “Trooper Norman pulled into the parking lot of Jarrett Brothers IGA to assist the child with his tire. He attempted to fix the tire which had become detached from the back rim of the bicycle.”
