One woman took getting out of a bad online date to another level by faking her own death.
Ann Gray, of Somerset in the U.K., said she had been going out with a man she met on an online dating site, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 29-year-old invited him over for dinner, but after the third date she decided that it was not meant to be. When she tried to let him down gently, the unnamed man remained persistent and continued sending her text messages.
“He continued to message me and the day came when he sent me one stating 'I think we need to have a date tonight! I will be around your house in 30 minutes’,” Gray explained.
So she decided to take drastic measures, and pretended to be her own sister, texting him from a hospital where Gray was “very ill.”
But that didn’t stop this guy from wanting to come and visit her, so Gray had to resort to faking her own death.

Gray never received a response from her bad date, but she did say that he found her on the dating website again a few months later.
"He sent me a horrid message!” she said. “Can’t say I blame him, really. I am currently engaged to be married and not dead!”
According to the Inquisitr, even though Gray’s texts have gone viral, her tactic received mixed reactions. Many readers found her text message break-up was clever, while some felt her lie about death was a bit extreme and far-fetched.
