Actress Ashley Tisdale responded to rumors that she was pregnant following an appearance at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscars viewing party, saying that she simply hasn't been on her strict diet.

Tisdale, 31, responded to those who criticized her appearance, shutting down rumors that she was pregnant, reports People magazine. Tisdale has been an advocate of body confidence in the past, and has said that working out helps her feel good.

"The pressure to [be] perfect is a struggle," tweeted the "High School Musical" actress. "No I'm not pregnant, I'm just happy and haven't been strict on my diet, but thanks for the reminder."

Users on Twitter commented on her body and asked if the actress was OK, according to Daily Mail.

"I saw your body and got worried that you're not ok," wrote one Twitter user. "Then I thought that you might be pregnant."

During the viewing party, Tisdale posted on Instagram, promoting her new makeup line.

"So fun to be here again!" wrote Tisdale on a photo of her makeup look at the event. "Recreating this look for you this week with [Sephora], keep an eye out #EJAF25 #iconicbysephora #ad."

Tisdale has spoken in the past about being confident in her body, and how exercise factors in to her routine.

"Any physical activity helps your health and is also a good stress reliever," she said in an interview with Health, speaking about her intensive schedule of training, kickboxing and yoga.

She also said exercise helped her become more confident in her appearance.

"I was always pretty skinny," Tisdale said. "I didn’t have any curves. I remember watching myself in 'High School Musical 2.' I had a lot of hair and I was in a bathing suit and I thought, 'I just look like a bobblehead!'"

In 2013, Tisdale told E! News that she struggled with confidence in her appearance. "I always feel like I could look better. I'm like, 'ew,'" the actress said.

Tisdale told E! that she and her husband Christopher French weren't planning to have kids "anytime soon."

Singer Selena Gomez, who has gotten similar comments about her body, said her experience with body-shaming led to her decision to pose nude on her "Revival" album cover.

"It hurt my feelings because I never experienced that before, but I didn't want [that] to be the story, so I said, 'I don't care what you think!'" said Gomez about the comments she received online and in the media.

"I'm learning that you can be comfortable and still look beautiful," Gomez said of her experiences. "Some days, I like what I see. Other days I'm like, 'I'm not even going to bother.'"
