Sarah Palin made a high profile appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Tuesday, but she also had a secret agenda while she was in Hollywood. She reportedly met with network executives to pitch a reality show starring none other than Sarah Palin.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Palin is teaming up with top reality producer Mark Burnett to shop a show about her home state of Alaska. Network sources say Palin met with executives at all four broadcast networks.
Palin and her family would be followed on-camera in the show, which one network executive described as "'Planet Earth' meets Alaska meets her family," referring to Discovery's high-definition nature hit.
Nature shows and celebrity reality shows tend to find homes on cable TV networks. But Palin could break the mold.
"There's an awful lot of interest in her," one executive said. "As a short-order series, it might work. It would depend on what kind of footage you get."
A second executive disagreed. "I can't imagine broadcast picking it up. But it would make a great cable play."
