The last thing that Chicago Bulls fans wanted to see what uber-stud Derrick Rose leaving Saturday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers with a limp. He’s definitely got a sprained ankle, but he didn’t seem too concerned about it on Saturday.
“I’m good,” said Rose. “If anything, I’ll be able to rest for a couple of days.”
Well, on Sunday Rose was seen in a walking boot and he is scheduled to have an MRI on his bum ankle.
“DRose has an MRI scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Team isn’t expecting anything other than sprained left ankle, which leaves him day-to-day,” beat writer K.C. Johnson tweets.
Right now, Rose is questionable for Game 5 on Tuesday and head coach Tom Thibodeau says that “hopefully” he’ll play. Most are expecting that he will play and it might be better for him to rest as they already have a 3-1 lead on the Pacers.
If for some reason he doesn’t play, look for a healthy dose of C.J. Watson.
