During a yelling match with liberal radio host Leslie Marshall on the Sean Hannity show, Michelle Malkin asserted that the British brought the London terrorist attack upon themselves by not deporting Muslims.
Malkin said that lax deportation policies and an unwillingness to screen out and profile Islamic militants was part of the problem.
“What do you need to have?” she asked, “Neon lights that say ‘Islamic Jihad’?”
She added, per Raw Story: “And in large part, unfortunately, in British culture, among the progressives there, they brought it on themselves in some ways because of lax deportation policies, and an unwillingness to screen out and profile Islamic militants who are now doing this in a homegrown manner on British soil. It’s tragic.”
Malkin agreed when Hannity said the United States would not have called the event a terrorist attack, citing political correctness as a source of danger. She accused the United States of calling the Ford Hood event “workplace violence” instead of a terrorist attack, saying the U.S. should start calling things what they are.
When Hannity suggested that the soldier could have protected himself with a gun had British gun control laws been more liberal, Malkin exploded.
“Well, do you know who did have a gun?” Malkin cried, “One of the assailants had a pistol!”
After comparing being compared to Hilary Clinton, Marshall finally spoke up in outrage, saying that discussion of terrorism is too involved in semantics. She made the point that lives are lost either way.
But Malkin was still relentless: “The only people who play word games when it comes to identifying Islamic militant terrorism are you and your ilk.”
