Hillary Clinton recently revealed that the Bible ranks at the top of her list of influential books in her life.
In an interview published in the New York Times Sunday Book Review, the former Secretary of State revealed an impressive knowledge of the literary cannon, citing writer such as John Grisham, Toni Morrison and Walter Isaacson amongst her favorite writers.
Her favorite book, however, dates much further back.
“At the risk of appearing predictable, the Bible was and remains the biggest influence on my thinking,” Clinton said when asked to name one book that made her into who is she today.
“I was raised reading it, memorizing passages from it and being guided by it,” Clinton added, noting that she still finds it “a source of wisdom, comfort and encouragement.”
The potential 2016 presidential candidate is currently on tour promoting her book, "Hard Choices."
