British aid worker David Haines was recently brutally beheaded by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS. However, his brother Mike Haines refuses to blame Islam or all Muslim people for the murderous actions of ISIS.
"The Muslim faith is not to blame for ISIL (ISIS), nor is it the fault or people of Middle Eastern descent," Mike said in a statement, noted NBC News.
"While the Haines family doesn't practice a specific religion, we stand with our arms open to welcome those of any faith," added Mike. "To my limited knowledge, Islam is about peace, it's about love. ISIL are not about religion, they're about terror."
According to ABC News, British Prime Minister David Cameron stated, "[ISIS] boast of their brutality, they claim to do this in the name of Islam. That is nonsense. Islam is a religion of peace. They are not Muslims, they are monsters."
Christian radio host Sandy Rios recently slammed Mike Haines for his statement, while giving Prime Minister Cameron, who is a conservative, a free pass (audio below).
“[Mike Haines'] lack of understanding is just amazing and his spiritual confusion is just overwhelming,” Rios stated on her American Family Radio show today, noted RightWingWatch.org.
“He represents, I think, millions of American and British post-Christians who believe it’s ‘live and let live,’ it’s ‘coexist,’ it’s ‘whatever it takes to have peace among all men,’ not understanding that the Muslim faith is absolutely to blame for ISIL,” added Rios.
“That’s the kind of thinking that is just perfect targets for the Islamists,” claimed Rios. “They’re not moved by this, they’re not moved by the fact that he says his family’s not Muslim, that means their heads will be more on the chopping block, they’re not won by this kind of spiritual blandness and confusion.”
