American Family Association radio host Sandy Rios recently revived unproven rumors that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may be a lesbian. Why? Because Clinton came out this week in support of gay marriage.
Rios, who claims to be a Christian, cited right wing commentator Dick Morris' speculation that Hillary Clinton may be a lesbian, even though Rios added that she “can’t confirm or deny anything,” reports RightWingWatch.org.
Rios claimed that Clinton has a “love of homosexuality” and "has always, as far as I know back to college, endorsed and embraced all things lesbian and gay."
However, Clinton has a long history of opposing gay marriage, which Rios failed to mention, as noted by the Washington Post.
Clinton said in January 2000: ”Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes back to the beginning of time and I think a marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman."
In October of 2000, Clinton said: ”I don’t support gay marriages, but I do support extending benefits to couples, domestic partner benefits."
Rios also failed to mention Republicans who support gay marriage such as Dick Cheney and Laura Bush.
