Conservative Christian leaders are warning evangelical voters that the 2016 presidential election is the last election that they have to save America (video below).
Franklin Graham told Christians in Tallahassee, Florida, in January that prayer meetings such as his “Decision America Tour" could be outlawed if Christians don't vote against secularism in November, notes RightWingWatch.org:
The men and women of God, we need to take a stand because we're losing our country. And if we continue going down the road that we're going, let me tell you what the politicians want to do: They want to change the Constitution of America, that's their goal, and they will strip our freedoms.
Having a service like this in a few years could be illegal. They would say you can only have a prayer service inside a church building; that's what the communists do in Russia. You can only worship inside a church building, you can't be out in the open like this. That's what they want to do, they call themselves progressives, OK? That's a nice word isn't it?
Graham didn't identify who the politicians or progressives are, but said, "America needs the Christian vote. You see, it’s not that the enemy is at the gate. They’ve come through the gate because we’ve left the gates wide open and we have allowed our moral walls to deteriorate and fall down.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got maybe one election left,” Graham added. “And I’ve been told by people who know that the game will be over. And I’m telling you right now, we’re very close to losing.”
Family Research Council head Tony Perkins told a campaign rally for Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on Feb. 11 a similar message in South Carolina, reported RightWingWatch.org:
I'm here because I decided that too much was at stake to sit on the sidelines, that I couldn't just sit there and talk about it and do commentary about it. That I wanted to use what influence I had with Christians around this country to say that I've talked to all these candidates, I have vetted the candidates and from my vantage point in Washington, D.C., I can tell you America is in trouble.
We cannot afford, we don't have the latitude to get it wrong one more time. If we don't elect a bold, courageous, godly leader in this next election, I'm afraid we may not have another election for our republic. That's not hyperbole. That is the reality based upon what this president's policies have done to this nation.
