Jay Grdina, ex-husband to adult film star Jenna Jameson, was shocked when his son was rejected from a private Christian school because of Grdina’s own past.
While married to Jameson, Grdina ran a porn company alongside his ex-wife and starred in adult films with her, the Daily Mail reports. Since then, he has married Erin Naas and had two children. He has also started a new company that sells NOHO, an award-winning hangover prevention tool.
Grdina and his current wife went through several interviews during the application process with Scottsdale Christian Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. Although their son was accepted and they paid $10,000 in tuition for him to attend, Grdina and his wife later received an email withdrawing their son’s admission.
“Unfortunately after a final review during our admission process, we are now unable to provide admission,” the school wrote, according to TMZ. “It has been brought to our attention that due to the lines of business that your family is/was in would violate these foundational critical issues of SCA.”
The elementary school handbook for SCA states that it has no tolerance for alcohol or gambling. It also insists that admission to the school is a privilege and that it has higher standards than other schools for its students and their parents.
Grdina was shocked to receive the email, especially since the tuition fee had not been returned and his nephews had been admitted to the school.
“I mean we went through the full interview process, we started in December of last year,” Grdina told Fox 10. “I mean they had plenty of time to do their background research.”
Grdina and his wife are currently trying to find a school who will accept their son last minute.
The family is considering suing the school, since they have yet to return the $10,000 tuition fee.
