Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has tweeted her reason for attending President Donald Trump's inauguration.
Mediaite reports that Clinton has tweeted the following message to her followers in regards to her attendance at Trump's inauguration ceremony: "I'm here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration"
Many Democrats -- including Democratic members of Congress -- are boycotting the event. However both Hillary and former President Bill Clinton, in addition to former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, have decided to attend.
Reaction to Hillary's tweet was swift on Twitter. One user wrote, "[Hillary] you should be taking the presidential oath today. Thank you for your class, leadership, and dedication to our country."
Another commented, "... She deserves to be in prison. That's all she deserves."
A third added, "... Class and grace, personified. Thank you."
While Hillary's future remains uncertain, it appears she has not totally withdrawn from the spotlight after her stunning loss to Trump on Election Day.
Only time will tell if she continues to stay active in politics or decides to retire once and for all.
